Low on Spell Slots

Posted by Daniel Brewer on

Expected today to be a good day, energywise. Oops!

Got up in the morning without much trouble. Got the dogs fed, me medicated, got my tea. Woot!

May be an image of 1 person and outdoors

And then... surprise, wall! Could not initiate anything.

Eventually I managed to sit myself down and do a tracing sketch of the Neolithic stone whorl from Mas D'Azil.

Then some lunch... and apparently just that sketch used up my spell slots. Took what was supposed to be a short nap... THREE HOURS LATER... yeah.

This recovered enough spell slots to cast "convert to vector and edit"

And the cantrip "place on whorl"

Currently I have it slated for a 60mm whorl. I will likely also do a 33mm whorl even though for me that's TIIINY because that's the original size (I cannot imagine trying to do this detail at that level on bone with stone tools).

Should I leave it at this level of scratchiness? Do another version? Smooth it out more? Less interpretation of the original? What do YOU think?

Other than that, I got a load of laundry done. Chronic illness sucks.

Oh, and here's a video of Nem finishing off the LickyMat after I clipped her toenails yesterday. Please ignore that my voice gets weird when I talk to her.

@brewergnome New peanut butter may. Helped Tuli a TON. Nem is pretty easy anyway. #dog #swedishvallhund #pocketwolf #pocketfox ♬ original sound - Dan the Gnome

That's all for now!

  • I love that! I would prefer it smoother, so I can really see it.
